Abstract
Olfactory reference syndrome(ORS) is a clinical condition that causes patients to be excessively anxious about emitting body odors that may be offensive for other people. However, only a few small studies have systematically assessed clinical features of ORS. There is no consensus on the validity of this syndrome as an independent clinical entity. The ORS is classified under different categories, including delusional disorder or other specified obsessive-compulsive and related disorder. In this paper, we report two cases of patient with ORS. They had a preoccupation of foul body odor emanating from oral region(halitosis) or body. We treated them successfully by escitalopram and aripiprazole. In addition, we discussed briefly, within the framework of these cases, the place of ORS in systems of clinical classified and in literature.
